Why should they be able to see ONE person making a move inside our borders?

We have the ability to send a man to the moon and google map down to a roach on the ground, NSA tappin phones and we STILL can't stop an attack or invasion? DAMN! Spielberg could definitely write a movie about the ignorance piled up in this thread and call it The Labotomy Sessions...LOL
I've always been of the belief that we will destroy ourselves from within, as opposed to being invaded by a foreign country.
China has that same belief and they will just sit back and watch it happen. They have no reason to invade the US. They are currently shifting a surplus of their population to Africa. Actually nobody has a reason to invade the US right now via military takeover. It would be pointless and actually would economically cripple the entire world for a period of time.
your first assumption is that china and mexico would be allies, thus allowing china to move through mexican territory. if mexico remains neutral, or allies with the US, they become a buffer zone between the chinese in panama, and the US southern border, and that means that the chinese army will have to fight their way through mexico, forcing mexico to ally with us in the end. so that wont happen. second even if it did happen, the supply lines for the chinese army would be extremely long, and thus quite vulnerable to being cut. and china does not have the mobility that the US military does, in fact NO country has the mobility capability that the US does, so that also hampers the chinese effort. in the end, china going through mexico to get to the US is a poor idea even if mexico is on their side.

The Mexican military is still stuck in the 1960s. They had combat capable horse mounted cavalry well into the 1990s. Their navy is made up of World War II era hand-me-downs from the US Navy.
If the Chinese PLA wanted to go through Mexico ... then guess what? The PLA is going through Mexico.

We can't stop all attacks. A single determined individual can do a lot of damage.
An invasion from China we could easily stop. But we wouldn't have to. Because there is no advantage to be gained by China from such an invasion.
