I suppose I will ask again even though it still won't get answered.
What is the point of regulations that require fire extinguishers if nobody knows how to use them?[/quote]
the regualtion does not forbid learning how to use the fire extinguisher. If the regulation required placement but forbad learning about them, then maybe you would have a argument.
What good is a regulation requiring a fire extinguisher and not requiring anyone know how to use it?
The point is that the TEACHER is not supposed to be using it when the rules state, for obvious reasons, that she's supposed to attend to the children. It's a simple concept. Do you imagine there's no one else working in these places?
In the daycare my daughter went to there were three. So we know in this instance, one is unaccountable for as she left the nuggets to burn. Perhaps the third is watching another set of kids.
All the same your argument was she was a child care expert, not a fire extinguisher expert.
What good are these fire extinguishers if the employee's don't know how to use them?
I would file a civil suit against the person who left the nuggets unattended in the first place. She would still have her job if not for the neglectful actions of the nugget maker.
To file a suit you have to prove harm. There was none here.
She went into the next room and hit the chicken nuggets with a fire extinguisher. A complete non event 99.99999% of the time.
Absolutely.
The problem is that before she went into the next room she didn't get another adult to watch over the children she was responsible for. And that's a violation of the daycare's policy. A policy that was written to comply with the law and with insurance regulations and to avoid being sued by parents.
Harrier once left a three year old and a four year old alone in a room to watch Blue's Clues while he went to the bathroom for less than five minutes to "take care of business".
What an awful babysitter Harrier was - he ought to be put in prison!

No parent was going to sue. There was nothing to sue her over. I'll bet she doesn't get another worker every time she goes take a **** either.
