Plenty of species eat their own children....and plenty of animals eat other species young..
So if we did that, it would be fair game because it's observed in the animal kingdom?
Reread. That was the other poster's logic. Ask him if it's fair game. You are trying to translate what I wrote to mean the opposite of what it states.
The poster I responded to said that pedophilia (sexual attraction to prepubesence, age 11 and under for humans) is natural biological function in humans and non-humans. I asked him where? In what species has it been observed that some males prefer and copulate exclusively or primarily with prepubescent females? I haven't heard about the pedophiles of the animal kingdom.

Yes, but he is only parroting what the psychological community is saying! They are trying to shape perception with loose evidence because many people know no better. But that being said, just because a phenomenon is not observed in another species doesn't make it unnatural either.
If it's naturally observed in humans only...than it is a phenomenon observed exclusively within the human race. Not much unlike hippos fanning their feces with their tails spinning is not observed by any other animal.

I know what they are doing. We've seen it before.
We shouldn't be using what animals do or don't do as a measurement for what is natural for humans. Nor should we use animal behavior to craft social policies for human societies.

I fully agree! We can be sure that when they use the "animal kingdom" as excuse, they have run out of excuses. Humans are supposed to be a cut above.
This is hardly surprising in a society that glorifies every "preference." Also, it's not that long ago that a judge (I don't remember the specifics) presiding over a case in which the defendant was a repeat pedophile who kept getting released, suggested that he move to a more....."sympathetic" country.

“What purpose does calling someone a ‘pervert’ or ‘predator’ serve anyway, other than to express contempt and hatred?”
Obviously this fool doesn't have children or he wouldn't cavalierly make a statement like that.
Pedophiles need to be done away with, prison or otherwise. No place for them in society.
