Cut away the pretensions and gobbledegook - and ID'ers and creationists are just narcissists who think the Earth, solar system, and the entire universe were made by a God as a proving ground for humans before they can enter an unknown dimension. This isn't science and doesn't belong in public schools.
What I find hilarious it all this discussion is that 3 blocks from my home is a museum which bills itself as the creation science museum. For fun and giggles I went in there one day. They actually had a display which suggested man and dinosaurs lived together.
There are some funky things that exist which people refuse to consider on either side of the science versus faith thing. They are too wrapped up in the societal changes, the politics, in seeing progress in devolution by every greasy finger swipe on treated glass.
Look at the experiments we conduct today. If we are doing it and we are not the only sentient beings in the galaxy... it would be silly to think others aren't far beyond us in technology or below us. Look at the difference between a simple village in the Amazon or Afghanistan and NYC with everything else in-between on Earth.
Would it be so silly if the galaxy were like that too?
Intelligent Design opposes natural selection. That's kinda the whole point behind the idea of Intelligent Design.
Here is what you posted earlier in the thread:
Now you say that you accept natural selection and genetic drift as fact?
Are your views 'evolving' before our very eyes?
Perhaps you've accidently learnt something by chance when you were looking up what natural selection means and copied and pasted a paragraph about beetles from here? http://salempress.com/store/pdfs/animal_life.pdf
Are you trying in a very round about way to invalidate something I clearly quoted..but making it look like I plagiarized? You seem to try your hand at this often with people. I have made reference to this FACT before...with you. You don't care to recall...or just genuinely don't recall...probably because you were in a fury of hyperlinking handfuls of your bogus studies or engaging in a fury of your talking points ad-nauseum
Again, it has been pointed out to you that the concept of ID is not dogmatic and CAN be taught as such...the way they package it in the context of curriculum, yes. ID is not limited to the formation of man nor is it all inclusive of every detail of existence.
Intelligent design goes beyond life. Humans can, in theory, simply be unintended consequences.
Last....for the third time....if an Agnostic tells you they don't believe in abiogenesis or big bang or that the universe just happened...
ARE THEY RELIGIOUS? ARE THEY CREATIONISTS? Yes or no?
I think it also needs to be pointed out again....that it is not widely suggested (in this thread) that the concept of ID be taught AS science but along with it...math is taught along with science.... meaning as part of the curriculum..
Even as philosophy that is fine...because science was born from philosophy. The questions need to be asked. Once technology allows...its just a matter of technology catching up so these questions can be tested.

It can taught in philosophy class or humanities. Still isn't science.

Neither. Just ignorant about modern scientific theories relating to the origin of the universe and life.

Along with... meaning next door in the philosophy or humanities class, yes.

We have the technology now....
Are you waiting for us to invent time travel so we can put closed circuit cameras across the globe so we can literally watch evolution in super fast mode?

String theory still isn't falsifiable.....I'd say we are well off from having the technology.

Keep saying it isn't science...you are not making any point.
Big Bang Theory is NOT falsifiable..don't hold that against an Agnostic.
