So guns should be free cause it is a privilege? Actually your right to own a gun is a privilege, the actual gun is not a privilege, it is a piece of merchandise.
My right to own a gun is not a privilege, it's a right protected by the COTUS just like my right to freedom of speech. You do understand the difference between a right and a privilege right?
Not sure why a huge tax on ammo would help the gun confiscation crowd; there hasn't been any ammo on the shelves in over a year now. And if you believe the media hype that it's just crazy people buying it all up, JUST ASK the clerk or manager at ANY sporting goods store why there's nothing on the shelves. They'll be happy to tell you they simply can't GET any ammo to sell--not for hunters during hunting season, or even for local police supplies. They'll even let you know what day the supply trucks come in, so you too can watch the truck deliver other goods, but only a couple of boxes of ammo.

There are already liquor taxes, cigarette taxes why not a gun and ammo tax if it promotes the public health.
Because the right to bear arms is a CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT, and restricting them or making them more expensive (remember "shall not be INFRINGED"?) has absolutely NO relation to the public health. Gun control has NEVER improved either public health or crime statistics; in fact, disarming citizens usually sends crime rates higher because people cannot even defend themselves in their own homes.
Do you also think knives should be taxed out of existence, because they can be used to kill? Slingshot? Bows and arrows? How about fireworks, which are explosives--a favorite of mass murderers? How about fire and the ingredients used to make fire (wood, matches)? How about cars--a major killer that WOULD reduce the number of accidental deaths in the nation if they were outlawed?
DHS buying it all up. Creating a "run" so to say. With our tax dollars of course. Hoarding it like the banks are hoarding commodities to drive up the prices that nobody knows about. We are all getting screwed one way or another by these crooks.
Politicians control our activities through taxes just like Obama raised taxes to hurt small business Democrats want this.
Yes, clearly that was the intent of the President. Too bad he didn't follow the example set by the CINO's that held office before him by causing a global recession and costing the country $2T for the mess in Iraq. I mean, if he followed that example then you'd really have something to whine about. How about thinking for yourself at some point.
How did you last 48 posts is my question? I will have to check into that whole thing you spoke of though.
