It's all political. The Dems will be for it because aDem is in the White House; the Repubs are against it because a dem is in the White House. Otherwise, they'd be all for it.

It's sickening.

Kerry just needs to do some more tap dancing on TV so we can get those poll numbers up past 50%.
We must be looking at different polls or questions worded differently ---

if U.S. military action in Syria were limited to air strikes using cruise missiles launched from U.S. naval ships that were meant to destroy military units and infrastructure that have been used to carry out chemical attacks would you support or oppose this U.S. military action in Syria?*

Drudge is running an interesting poll on the right side of the page. It's consistently been 8% for and 92% against giving Obama congressional approval.

Yes, but why do those who support the war, support it?

I understand that many users on this site affiliate themselves with a particular politcal party.

If that is the reason they support the war, what is wrong with being truthful and saying, "I support the war because the ___________ party supports it."

I am not attacking you (if I was, you would know what venomous was like.) I just think if one couldn't find the answer you seek on those other threads a new thread isn't going to help.

I haven't formed a position yet on Syria. I want to know what the goals and objectives are prior to weighing in.

911 and terrorist where used. Those are the magic words when you want to do something like bomb that place. People will agree to almost anything when you say the right words if theyre scared enough.

I guess I'm not keeping up. The poll was from yesterday or Saturday.

And a mere 5 days ago less than 25% of Americans were for this per Huffpost.

Well it looks like Obama got his "most Americans support me" numbers.
No one I've spoken to is for this.

You'd think that a national poll would also be reflected in your local community.

We certainly do have a lot of these; I predict that they will be consolidated at some point.

Goodness me!

One could suggest you are being more than slightly emotive in your characterization of a reasonable question posed tactfully as being either "venomous" or "enraged".

Rachet down a bit on the rhetoric and your post might get some serious consideration.

Do you support military action?

If so, why? Also, do you believe military action is worth risking American lives?

Those were the questions asked. I did not ask your opinion on if you think there are too many threads about Syria.

Perhaps, you could answer the questions I asked. I appears you support the war, but you are possibly embarrassed, which is why you continue to attempt to derail this thread.
