I'm not suggesting the kid committed a crime, what I'm saying is, this has happened many times before, and it is grossly unfortunate, but to blame anyone here is wrong, it was an accident, sad but true.
And it pisses me off royally, anytime something like this happens, cop haters blame the police....
I am not a cop hater. I'm a bad cop hater. And also hate the fact that too many cops have no ego control and feel like they must force an issue immediately. What ever happened to a strategy of "back off and observe the kid for a few minutes?" There was no evidence that anyone was in danger.
How about staying on topic? Or are you incapable of making a honest argument?
This was obviously a terrible misunderstanding, and obviously was not 'murder'. You are taking advantage of a terrible situation to further one of your own personal causes. That is a deplorable attitude.
There will be in inside investigation to make sure all officers involved agree on the same story. :-/
Exactly. By the end of the day this kid will have pointed his toy gun at the officers, ducked down into attack mode and they all feared for their lives.

Cop hater is your default position as well as the OP's. That's why you NEVER post anything good police do and NEVER take the positon, that I've seen, where the LEO's made the correct decision. In this case too many variables have not been presented. I get the local news coverage as this incident happend about 100 miles from me. As a former LEO if the kid was carrying what appeared to be a real rifle and handgun, didn't follow my repeated commands to put it on the ground and decided make a move to swing it towards me, sorry but the kids going to get shot. That neighborhood was residential lots of innocents that could have gotten shot even by a stray bullet had those guns been real. Also NO ONE could have gotten inside that kids head at that moment to determine what his intent was going to be. Was he on the way to a school? Was he wacked out on drugs? No you and the OP ARE cop haters. At least that is how you present yourselves.

Show some respect like a decent human being.
I am showing respect, respect for a child who has been wronged. I am calling out a terrible injustice. This was not a misunderstanding, it was a murder. Cops pulled their guns and intentionally shot down a child for the sin of carrying a toy gun down the street. They had options, and they ELECTED not to use them. That is not a misunderstanding.
A decent human being calls a murder a murder and does not try to justify it or cover it up.
It is the indecent human being who justifies evil.
