Then why are the prices going up? And dont dare say profits, because we all know those are capped..

Even if they have to issue a check back to policy-holders, that money is in their pocket until the end of the year. And it adds up, and they have working capital they wouldn't have otherwise.

Ignorance comes to mind..So people are having thier policies go up $1K a year or so, so they can get their check back for dozens of dollars.. and your response.. Profits..
I say that about conservative voters. We see it all the time in red states that have the poorest people in the nation, who vote for Republicans, who lower taxes on the richest Americans and cut programs for everyone else. I can't think of a better example of voting against your own interests -- regular Americans who vote for the Republican Party, who are less likely to protect their safety, less likely to protect their jobs, and less likely to benefit them economically.
We would all be richer if there were no government "programs".
Are people redefining what the word "lie" means? Obama didn't lie, he simply is not a dictator and can't predict the future. If obama was lying then that would mean when he originally said it, he knew people wouldn't be able to keep their insurance.

Trust me when I say---very wealthy insurance companies through the years have hired teams of in house lawyers and powerful lawfirms to do exactly that--to find ways to deny coverage. And they are very good at it. That is one reason we are in a pickle with the delivery of health care today.
I know they do, but as I said, at least there is some remedy through the court system to get your insurance company to cover treatment. What recourse would you have against the government? I'm sure there will be an appeals process, but still through the government.
