And BTW, nicotine is not the worst part of smoking tobacco. If e-cigs keep kids from smoking tobacco, I'm in favor of it.
Then at this moment you would suspect wrong, there is currently no age restrictions on the use of e-cigarettes and the nicotine in them so any teen can currently buy them legally. Nicotine is still an addictive chemical and can be dangerous to children in high dosages.

so can a lot of other things. Then we should be pushing for an age restriction and not to start getting ban happy.

This got a chuckle out of me.

I have gone to e cigs and quit the regular ones. Nicotine has the same affect on the body as caffeine and as such I have the full support from my cardiologist to use it as much as I want. He's thrilled I found something that I was able to quit cigarettes with.

Only I get the nicotine and others around me get water vapor. Anyone against these would need to be against humidifiers too.

Nobody is promoting ecigs for kids.

As far as NYC is concerned, if you live there to begin with, you need all the help you can get.

Age restrictions tend to be where the compromise is, which I am fine with.

The jury is still out on that one.

So many apartment buildings and condos/townhomes across the U.S. do not allow smoking. Anti-smoking is about as bipartisan as it gets. The OC in California is about as red as it gets and they were amongst the first to ban smoking almost everywhere, including beaches, parks, sidewalks and so on.
