Baloney! He was an US rep for two years and an Illinois rep for 8 years.

That's executive experience? Wow, then the same standard applies to the people who say Obama had no executive experience.

So, file. Lots of people do. If she was as innocent as she claimed, then do like a lot of wrongly accused people do...defend yourself. She's no martyr, bud.

She got a better offer, she quit for the bucks.

Is this thread a serious attempt to get warm fuzzies towards Palin running for the Presidency in 2016?

Seriously. Stop the madness.

Let's just hand the vote to Hillary or Joe or whomever the DEMs will put up for the job like we did in 2012.

Palin is amusing. She isn't Presidential material, despite McCain's error in judgment of putting her on the ticket.

I pray that the GOP rightwingers don't get totally wacked out and push Palin's candidacy.

However, if they do (and it WILL BE A FAIL FOR THE GOP) at least if Hillary gets elected, we will have someone with a high intelligence and who is a proven workhorse in office. She is slicker than her husband, having apparently extracted herself from the Benghazi atrocities and other than that monstrously horrid debacle, there is really nothing else to hold her back from getting elected. Hillary is a helluva good politician, having essentially been the mastermind behind Bill's campaigns.

The best candidate out there for the GOP is Jeb Bush but that ain't gonna happen.

I'm annoyed with the DNC that Hillary seems to be the foregone conclusion, since she's the safe win. I'd like to see Wendy Davis or Bernie Sanders shake things up in the primary. Maybe let some of those on the left understand that change is possible, but not with Hillary Clinton.
I'm a huge fan of Bernie Sanders but in 2016 he'll be 74 - probably a little late for a presidential run.

Besides, he is a great advocate for the people and probably gets more done as a senator than he would as the POTUS.

Wendy Davis now has some "baggage" (unfortunately and probably somewhat undeservedly).

Governor Palin was nevertheless following the express advice of one of her attorney Tom Van Flein who told her the Trust complied with all laws and was indeed unassailable. It wasn't her fault
And then the Alaska Personnel Board dismissed it

Two separate investigators said she violated ethics laws.

At the very least it shows her judgement is suspect. At the very most she has a teflon coating that would rival Bill Clinton's.

But go ahead and vote for her, then a Democrat will most certainly win the Whitehouse, and you can **** and moan on how bad a job he/she is doing.

No, she did not quit for the bucks. It's totally wrong to say that. She basically ran out of time and it was best to resign. If she had filed she still would have been relentlessly hit with more ethics lawsuits and nothing would have changed. She would have still had her duties as governor tied up and unable to perform states business. She made the right choice.

That was the political experience that Lincoln had. He was a master politician, which I thought was well-known. He was certainly more than a country lawyer.

Yes they did but it was decided by even one of those investigators came to the conclusion Palin did not abuse her power. And again, the complaint was dismissed by the Alaska Personnel Board.
