"Progressive?" Hard to believe since Brendan is a co-founder. "Progressive" = Marxist/socialist.

Brendan was the brains behind Mozilla. He is also the inventor of Java Script, a necessary part of nearly every Internet site. Are you going to boycott your Internet connection? Probably not. HYPOCRITTE!

They are completely free to do so.

Nah, what happened is in the market of public opinion, which conservatives claim they want to happen in cases of discrimination, in the circles that matter to the board of Mozilla denounced this man and some of them demanded he step down.

Those people are exercising their free speech to demand he step down and their voices impacted the board.
The board probably said we won't attract or retain the engineers or contacts we need going forward, so he is gone.

This is an example of the kind of thing that conservatives say they want to happen in cases of discrimination.

Supposedly conservatives want, instead of the government getting involved and mandating that this or that has to happen based on discrimination, conservatives claim they want public opinion to dictate and modify this behavior.

Yet whenever it happens that the public decries and reacts to someone's discriminatory behavior, and that person is punished by the market of public opinion, and all without government involvement conservatives are outraged and claim even that is limiting free speech and freedom.

This goes to show conservatives don't believe what they say they believe when it doesn't go their way. Pathetic.
I'll be waiting for you to prove your filthy accusations. Go ahead and prove conservatives are like this.

I wonder if his job performance was slipping?

Mozilla CEO Resigns After Furor Over Gay Rights - ABC News
The headline is garbage. There is no such thing as gay rights. No one gets their rights from belonging to a group. You get your rights as an individual at birth.

Yes and not all people that oppose gay marriage are homophobic. However in this day and age political correctness has gone too far.

He should have not resigned. Yet it is his choice.

Again, this is the thing that conservatives say they want to happen in these cases. Instead of the government getting involved and mandating that this or that is legal or illegal in this case.

Private individuals of the insider world of "silicon Valley" protested this man's donation to a cause they see as discrimination against homosexuals. Some of those private individuals demanded he step down. In fact, some of those private individuals are employee's of Mozilla who demanded he step down. I have read their tweets.

That's how it is supposed to work according to conservatives hey, the people within the industry basically policed themselves without government interference to handle what many in that industry believed to be discriminatory behavior.
I get called a Conservative all the time. Not long ago by you I believe. See my first couple posts.

If gays want freedom than they need to start respecting the freedoms of others.
Wrong. Only homosexuals have a right to their opinion, and if you express yours, they will shut you down, drive you out of business, and destroy your future.

They may also vandalize your home, your car, and ridicule you publicly, destroying your credibility and your ability to obtain future employment.

Free speech is only available to them. "Some people are more equal than others."

This reminds me of "Crystal Night" that the Jews went through back in the 1930's under the Nazi's. The homosexual lobby gave Obama a free pass but attack anyone else that dares to not support homosexual marriage. It won't be long before we have to shave our heads and wear a rainbow star.

I wonder if they will also support pedophiles if such a case comes before them?

It seems that debauchery is acceptable behavior now.
