I bet he had a golden parachute.

Meaning his departure got him millions.

Good for him.

America, freedom, and free speech, is the loser.

Angry mobs now rule the streets of America, and if they don't get their way, they have the power to destroy lives, and they do not hesitate to use that power. Many supporters of Prop 8 experienced vandalism of their homes and automobiles, were shouted at and ridiculed in public, in front of their places of employment and elsewhere.

Thus is the nature of the Gay and Lesbian left. They are hateful hypocrites and bigots, intolerant of anyone who doesn't agree with them. They destroy lives, commit crime that goes unpunished, and are disrespectful of the rights of others. All the while, they demand respect from the rest of us.
Angry mobs? What mobs? Where?

Funny, I thought you worshipped the free market? Freedom of speech? No? Only when it's YOUR side that expresses themselves and boycotts things?

Duly noted. The Constitution is only for, ahem, certain chosen Americans.

I bet the former CEO had a golden parachute and his departure netted him millions.

So will the left cackles over their pyrrhic victory, Eich walked out with millions in his back pocket.

Bye, bye.

I'm fine with it as a Capitalist.

I'm also fine with regarding homosexuality as aberrant and destructive to human society as whole.

Its the Nazi way. Limiting free speech is never good; no matter the reason. But in the end what it really does is say discrimination is justified.

I refuse to buy lots of products based on the political BS of the company.

Monitoring the political behavior of employees on their own time and money is over the top and just shows again the totalitarian nature of leftists.

Why do you think C-D posters use fake names? Because we know not to mix our politics with our business.

I personally don't think he should have stepped down, but the title of this thread is hyperbolic nonsense. This rich dude's life was not really ruined. He is still rich.

Nah, what happened is in the market of public opinion, which conservatives claim they want to happen in cases of discrimination, in the circles that matter to the board of Mozilla denounced this man and some of them demanded he step down.

Those people are exercising their free speech to demand he step down and their voices impacted the board.
The board probably said we won't attract or retain the engineers or contacts we need going forward, so he is gone.

This is an example of the kind of thing that conservatives say they want to happen in cases of discrimination.

Supposedly conservatives want, instead of the government getting involved and mandating that this or that has to happen based on discrimination, conservatives claim they want public opinion to dictate and modify this behavior.

Yet whenever it happens that the public decries and reacts to someone's discriminatory behavior, and that person is punished by the market of public opinion, and all without government involvement conservatives are outraged and claim even that is limiting free speech and freedom.

This goes to show conservatives don't believe what they say they believe when it doesn't go their way. Pathetic.

I've been reading the comments in HuffPo about the "market" by liberals and they are both hilarious and uninformed. There is no way the "market" pushed him out in 5 days. The board probably didn't want to deal with all the liberal fanatics quacking and probably gave the guy some money to step down. All that this does is make gay people look like bullies. Congrats.
