It's funny that gun nuts talk about "brain washing" of so-called "gun-grabbers" (which includes anyone who simply wants some sense put into the whole thing.)
I've never been on a website or read a single book about "gun grabbing" or gun laws. My opinions are simply common sense developed over decades of actual rational thought.
With all these "pencils are dangerous weapons" fools you have here, it's fairly obvious who spends more time frequenting "brainwashing" forums and websites, and it isn't the "gun grabbers." You really have to be severely short on common sense, intellect, or maturity to think that is a valid comparison.
If you claim to be a proponent of rational thought, then why do you refer to pro-constitution people with irrational labels, like "gun nut", "fetishists", or "children".
You are driven by emotion, not reason, and that is the among the defining aspects of a liberal.
It would be nice to simply cut through all the crap and just keep guns out of the hands of crazy people, but we can't keep guns out of ANYBODY'S HANDS in this country. So sadly this kind of thing will never stop, and there's no solution.
The laws do that but under very narrow conditions because Americans once abused the mental health system and had people committed for no reason whatsoever.
The blame is not on the object itself, it's the object enabling people who are nuts to carry out killing so easily. It really doesn't take the mind of a rocket scientist to figure that out.
If this is true, then why are you targeting the object rather than the people who use them recklessly, or the underlying causes (mental health issues, etc...) that produce such actions.
The thing is, we love our country even if we don't agree with all the laws or amendments. We take the good with the bad, maybe it is you that should leave ?

it will never happen. if the second amendment is "repealed" and they start coming for guns, a war will be a default. good luck collecting them. no one would ever be dumb enough to try to disarm citizens. law enforcement would lose that battle. they'd have to nuke cities. never happen.
Just in case you aren't aware, this already happens. So now what ?
