I've overlooked nothing. Even the quote you cited says nothing about taxing higher income earners more than low- and mid-income earners. Very likely because those countries DON'T. They, instead, have REGRESSIVE tax systems. The low- and middle-income earners pay higher tax rates in social democracy countries than do high-income earners, as reported by multiple sources.

Who said otherwise? I acknowledged this. What I pointed out is that although the tax system is regressive, tax is allocated more generously. You know? Like More spending on the betterment of society. Is it hard for you to comprehend, Genius?

That was to increase, or provide him with, self-esteem!

You'll never take that away from him.

It's the only real credential he has.

Schools teach that self-esteem is a leadership quality.

I agree. Why don't U.S. liberals espouse that same model: tax the low- and middle-income the most, but then also give them more benefits than they currently get?

We need free higher education and more welfare that's less means tested. Other than that, I'm more in favor of Basic Income Guarantee. Either that or the Nordic Model.

Just leave them alone.

The excess taxation goes to "defenxe" corporations.

Ask Raytheon to pay for your kid's college tuition.

"Fees for services" is the only moral model of "taxation".

Sounds like a plan as long as the low- and middle-income earners pay for the bulk of benefits, as they do in European social democracies. Do you agree to join the European model and to adopt their regressive tax systems?

Do you know a country the entire highway system was build and is operated by private companies?

Private companies may cherry pick a busy profitable route but to build the ENTIRE highway system? No. Why would they?
