IDK, the nurses on the forum seem to be in her corner. I think medical people in general consider this a politicization of their turf. She may well be a hero to them. If she does come down with Ebola though, her cause is dead, dead, and then dead some more.
I have a few medical people in my family, including one nurse. They don't share the same opinion of the few on here. Remember, P&OC is a pretty myopic world.
Agreed, that's what I mentioned earlier. She lives in the sticks in Maine with few neighbors.
If the media would just go home it would be just her and a few friends.
Her neighbors aren't baking pies and bringing over.
Go home and leave her alone with her BF. Very simple.
Please. Those people don't deserve to die of ebola in a third world hell hole anymore than you or any of us here deserve to be born in America where ebola is never going to become an epidemic. It's just luck of the draw where you are born and no one is better than anyone else.
I shudder to think what will happen if there ever is a true outbreak of something if this is how people react over a few cases of ebola. All of which came about from someone who was taking care of a very sick person with direct contact with their bodily fluids.
Life's not fair. Get used to it.
Healthcare do-gooders who insist on going should show their commitment by staying there until the outbreak is over. If they want to take care of "very sick people" here's their chance to prove it.
Not necessary. I understand that she rejected making a deal over what she considers her inviolable rights. I may be reading in too much, but she could very well comply with CDC guidelines without formal agreement. She sounds like a libertarian - I will obey the law though I have no obligation to!
I see it coming to a head today or tomorrow. I think they will take her against her will and detain her in a hospital. It's the way things are done these days. She will be clear of the disease as will her boyfriend and she will sue and win. Laws will be established to prevent it from occurring again. Just guessing...
Yes, she's an evil witch, filled with Ebola, and wanting to die but take as many with her as possible.
You've figured it out, you mastermind, you!
Kind of a no brainer, considering her lack of public respect.
