Count me in that segment as well. We include our beliefs in such companies in our budget as a family. It is important to us to buy smart and buy ethically. We try but don't always succeed.

And remember where the looters in Ferguson hit first....the QT store.
Hear that whooooooshhhhhh? That's the point flying over your head.

Maybe, maybe not.

Obviously the answer is for those companies to hire better employees then...or act as if you expect more from the ones you already have.

Really? What is considered good pay to you? Remember McDonalds is the second largest employer in our publicly funded welfare system (WalMart is #1). A starting salary of $26,979 for a manager sounds pretty bad to me.

"How much does a Store Manager at McDonald's make? The typical salary for a McDonald's Store Manager ranges from $26,979-$56,774, with an average salary of $43,095. Salary estimates based on 46 salary submitted anonymously to Glassdoor by McDonald's Store Manager employees."

In any case, the main thing is that businesses don't have to scrape the bottom of the barrel to make a nice profit.
There will only be ONE person making that wage in each store. The rest will be low wage

I think companies are starting to come around and realize that better pay is good for the economy as a whole, something Henry Ford realized 100 years ago. The more money people have in their pockets (working class & middle class), the more they have to spend on their products. The wealthy can only buy so much.

Also, when people are seeing an improvement in their lives from working for a fair wage, the better they will work and the more loyal they will be.
