The thing is, if you have a half a brain in your head you can eat well even when on a budget or food stamps. I was laid off for a year in 2008 and I still ate plenty of fruits, vegetables and meat, even though money was really tight. If you coupon, look for buy-one-get-one deals, make the most of weekly specials and don't waste your money on crap, you can actually eat very healthfully. For example, at my grocery store a bag of Lay's potato chips is $3.99 while bags of frozen store-brand vegetables are a dollar each. So you could get four bags of a healthy food for what you would pay for one bag of a junk food and it would last much longer.

When you're smart with what money you have, you can make it stretch pretty far.

Interesting claim. Any proof?

Yes she was. But she was standing there on July 2nd, 2008, 6 years ago when GW Bush was still president. That's when that report aired. The food stamp program has changed dramatically since then. In fact congress cut some funding for the program a little more than a year ago. Kept the subsidies for agribusiness but cut the food to the poor.
The OP put up a duplicitous video designed to deceive. Want's us to think it's current. By today's standards, it's ancient history.

But the kids gotta eat so we give them SNAP.
In those cases feed the kids at school and cut the money entirely for their leeching parents.

Finding a job would be too hard because then how could they get their fix in?

As usual .. uniformed I see.

There was a huge story on Surfer Dude who was doing just that.
Eating lobster and surfing .. no job!
He had no problem telling the world how he uses the system and .. I'm sure that he is not alone!

The welfare state is not really about the welfare of the masses. It is about the egos of the elites.
