Amazing that this nuke they've been "months away from" for years now has morphed into a sophisticated one deliverable in a suitcase, eh? Before we know it the whole magilla will be neatly packaged in the secret-decoder ring they all wear

Seriously. It's getting weirder by the day with these conservatives.

I don't know why they won't just come out and say that they want full blown war with Iran. It's painfully obvious.

After the botch intel regarding Iraq I doubt anything said by the CIA or similar to President Obama on this situation. You cannot put the war genie back in the bottle once opened as we have learned with respect with Iraq and Afghanistan.

Without inspectors in place, how will you know whether Iran is building a bomb? Sanctions can't tell us that.

That is a great question and I have not seen an answer.

Maybe Iran gets a nuke and nothing ever happens. But what scenario would you rather....

Saying:
1) wow, maybe Iran was never going to use a nuke for bad intentions, perhaps we shouldn't have kept harsh sanctions in place, or
2) gee, our ally Israel was just fckn nuked, or some NATO country, perhaps we should have held a hard line and not negotiated with Islamic extremists

A not unreasonable question. My response is:
What difference do you think not negotiating with them would have made? The harsh sanctions aren't stopping the development of a nuclear weapon, they're just making the people hate us more.

Its not a 1,2....theres a 3
3) Gee after talking some they've agreed to X and Y, which either gives Israel more breathing room, or possibly even averts the issue completely.

Because your scenario 1 and 2 don't change anything about Iran getting a nuke.

You don't go off and kill thousands of people (which would have to happen to stop Iran) because you are afraid of what might happen.

Russia may drop one some day, why arent we calling for a war? We might drop one one day........
