Same thing where I live. The people with the most tattoos and piercings are the middle to upper middle class white kids. Every affluent frat boy I ever met has at least a couple.

And they all better cover those tats if they want to work in the mainstream Fortune 500 jobs.

Says who? If tattoo guy earns more for a company than non-tattoo guy, I doubt the company gives a rat's ass about his body art.

I work Fortune 500 and sell to Fortune 500-----I don't see the opportunity to flaunt tats----maybe in the graphic arts dept or technology----but no one with any firepower.

Too young to remember Tipper Gore or just ridiculously partisan?

You don't see anybody with serious non-coverable tats up the foodchain much in corporate America. Mail room? Yeah. Call center? sure. Senior finance, accounting etc? No.

I'm talking tats you can't cover up when wearing a suit and tie or other business attire.

Now my buddy is heavily tattooed and is a successful lawyer but you can't see a single one when he's suited up and he'd call you an idiot if you got major non-coverable tats like neck, face etc tats when working in corporate America, law etc.

Sure there may be some exceptions....but it's going to hurt your career fair or not.

Ben Carson would make a great Secretary of Health and Human Services, but not POTUS.

I say it's a safe bet that he was referring to the low end.

The main problem with the black community.....themselves. They are responsible for how they raise their kids, who they let them hang out with, how they and their kids behave, who their role models are, etc, etc, etc. The primary culprit in their problems, are themselves.

That may be true now, but things could change. I suspect that in certain age groups, people without visible tattoos are in the minority. Today's frat boys sporting full sleeves and a neck tattoo may be the CEO of a Fortune 500 company sometime soon.
