A police captain originally described the attack on the man as an “anti-white” crime, but police brass backpedaled on Monday, claiming it wasn’t clear if it was racially motivated, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported.

If it was a black tourist beat up in a white neighborhood, the media would be ablaze with fury. Reverse the situation and it's pure backpedaling. Disgusting.

Meh, I think I'm getting used to that being business as usual re the media's myopia and downright hypocrisy. Fortunately, the www gets these stories out far and wide.

Anyway, we pretty much go to areas where the likelihood of things like that happening to us are next to nil and as far as I'm concerned, we're not missing out on anything in life.
