what did he do to 'deserve' being viciously attacked and beaten unconscious by multiple thugs?
Did you watch the video, instead of walking away he went up to them when he hands up like he wanted more.
What we didn't see is what started it. He could have initiated it, and by the way he acted in the 2nd sound, it looks like he did initiated it. Prolly trying at act like a hard $#$.
Bold added by me. Don't know why you are harrassing Finn about this when it is the 3rd paragraph on the OP. I didn't even watch the video.
It's called "arguing for the sake of arguing".
Him returning to the fight is mentioned in the article and on the video. The video shows him walking back with his spread out in the universal challenge gesture. The longer video shows he returning multiple times, and following people around. He wouldn't let it go. Tough guy, but in the end it was not a fight he could have won.
“I just wish we would have left when they told us to leave,” Tyre Burke, who was charged with disorderly conduct, told WLWT News 5's Brian Hamrick.
But my favorite from this article/video:
Quote:
“I’m not saying my son is a saint. I’ve seen him resist arrest before, but I’ve never seen him get to the point where he would be violent,” Yolanda Britten said.
Can any parent here on CD actually imagine saying these words about your kid: "I've seen him resist arrest before ..."? How does one get to the point where you say that so matter-of-factly about your child? It's mind boggling to me.
ummm... I read it too, and I don't see anywhere on the video where that happened. do you?

no need to tell us where the bold came from. if you didn't watch the video, it's no wonder why you're confused.

But on the event and this thread, I find it odd that so much focus in on McKnight when the article also states that he was not the only person attacked. I bet the other people were black and of course black people getting beat up by other black people aren't as important as a white guy getting beat up by black people, then coming back to get beat up some more.
video always gets more attention than events that occur off video, so you can rest easy now that your mystery is solved.

It was a holiday weekend. I suspect that all involved were intoxicated or high.
that is quite likely, but impossible to prove.

Another quote from the article:
Unfortunately these things happen at concerts and events with large crowds
I've been to hundreds of concerts and events with large crowds, and have yet to see anything remotely like this. maybe that's because I stay away from anything with the words 'rap' or 'hip-hop' in them

it's mentioned in the article, yet mysteriously invisible in the video.
why is standing with your hands up a universal gesture of surrender in ferguson, yet you consider it a 'universal challenge gesture' in cincinatti?
do you consider multiple people beating a single guy unconscious to be a fair fight?

I saw him standing up with his hands up. isn't that a gesture of surrender?

what did he do in the '2nd sound' -whatever that is - that makes you think he initiated anything?
do you consider multiple goons beating a single person unconscious to be a fair and good thing?
...that whole situation was pretty volatile. I like the quote about the hip-hop concert late at night being poor programming. Isn't that racially insensitive?

I've never been to a rap or hip-hop concert and I have seen it happen before.
And I was confused because evidently you don't read. I don't look at videos before reading an article.
And the quote above doesn't make sense.
The point was (sorry I don't have a video so you can understand) is that you were attacking the other poster who said that the victim lost a lot of legal standing by going back after being assaulted to fight some more. The 3rd paragraph of the OP stated that he went back after being beat in order to fight some more. The article stated that you can see this on the video. Other posters in the thread said they saw it on the video so evidently you have issues reading and viewing videos IMO.
And lol that you think fights only happen at rap/hip-hop concerts.
