I swiped your identity so I could clean out your bank account to pay for my kid's medical bills. No ill intent, mind you. I'm not a bad person and you understand it was for a good reason. Maybe a little immoral at most. Write me a ticket and I'll be on my way...
Why even write a ticket? According to liberals, your intent wasn't criminal so you should be able to get away with it with no negative consequences whatsoever. And everyone should support your actions.
Sen. Mitch McConnell is going to introduce legislation that would be called Kate's law. Kate Steinle was the woman killed by a man that had been deported back to Mexico 5 times.
Kate's Law would mandate prison time for 5 years for those caught back in this country after being deported.
The Mitch McConnell website is taking signatures for the required petition.
This was THE topic on O' Reilly's show, last night.
The bill he discussed was one where the illegal alien had been convicted of a felony, not just any old illegal.
The bill also included prosecution of municipality officials of the dozens of sanctuary cities if they continue to choose to not enforce federal law.
Mitch McConnell always comes out with weak legislation when it comes to illegal immigration. Sanctuary cities need to ended too. The news said there are over 100 sanctuary cities across 31 states. That could be almost every major and large city lol

A law denying all federal funds to any sanctuary city would stop this nonsense in a second.
Certainly if they are violent criminals legal or illegal but putting a bunch of people in jail that might just be here for work isn't very practical especially considering how many of them there are. This has the smell of a knee jerk reaction and not very well thought out. If you want to address illegal immigrants you need to go to the root of the problem by eliminating the incentive of them wanting to come here in the first place.
I don't think we agree on much Coalman, but this is one area that puts me strongly on your side. If you have a problem with pests invading the honey pot, put a lid on it! If you want to moan and complain about illegal immigration but refuse to nip the problem at its source (ie: the people hiring immigrants) then put a lid on that too.
Is it a deterrent or are we just be going to be filling more jails?
This may be a good law but only if it's augmenting some very drastic changes in how illegals are handled to begin with. Mandate e-verify nationwide and implement severe penalties for those hiring them. Problem solved.
How about a mandatory 5 year sentence for business owners and/ or CEO who directly or indirectly, via sub contractors, hire undocumented workers
Only 4 states have mandatory e- Verify Laws. Why is this? Of the former and current governors competing for the GOP nomination in 2016, have used their muscle to make e-Verify the law in their state? Why is this?
Yet, it seems that everyone wants to build a fence/ wall and employ thousands to guard the wall at $ 90,000 a year, and then complain about big government.
In the meantime, employers of undocumented workers get a pass.
Just about anyone can enter the U.S. on a tourist visa and stay. About 70 million enter the U.S. on tourist visas each year not including those who do not need a visa due to reciprocal arrangements.
The U.S. hands out thousands of 3 year visas to agriculture workers ( and their families)
so that Walmart can sell watermelons for $ 3.99 and independent wineries can profit off of $ 4.99 bottles of wine. How many get bust making an anchor baby? How many overstay these visas?
Should the San Francisco city council be arrested for murder?
They clearly were "aiding and abetting" the murder of Kathryn Steinle. Their "sanctuary city" agenda allowed a known illegal alien and felon to walk the streets and murder Kathryn Steinle.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said Sanchez was turned over to San Francisco authorities in March, and that the agency had asked for him to remain in custody until immigration authorities could pick him up. That request was not honored, ICE told The Associated Press. Sanchez's criminal history includes seven prior felony convictions, four of which involve narcotics charges, ICE said in a statement.
San Francisco is a "sanctuary city," one of a host of places across the U.S. that gives some protection to illegal immigrants by barring local officials from asking people about their immigration status. Steinle's death has sparked debate over whether sanctuary cities need to re-examine their policies.
The most important question that can be asked, but likely won't be asked by anyone with any real power. Which is a shame.
Strengthen border security. Tackle the problem at it's roots. This is the equivalent of putting a bucket under a leak. Fix the leak if you want to actually do something important.
The root is employment of undocumented workers.
There is no fence/ wall high enough nor troops deep enough to make a dent so long as an undocumented worker can find employment.
Every Spring, Eastern Europeans enter the U.S. on tourist visas. They have no problem becoming employed. They work and save their money and return home at the end of the season. Rinse and repeat.
Why pay anyone to smuggle you into the U.S. when you can get a tourist visa, board a plane and arrive in style. Heck, employers would be happy to pick you up at the airport. Make sure you choose one of the dozens of sanctuary cities to avoid aggravation. Avoid the 4 states that have mandatory e-Verify.
