At what point in time and where was it decided that men can be shirtless but women can't? And trust me, there are many men in this country that are in more serious need of upper chest support than some women. Both men and women have nipples, why is it that since women have more rounded breasts they ought to be covered up, and it's considered "nudity" if they aren't?
Because female breasts are considered secondary sex organs. Men are bigger and stronger than women as well as more sexually driven. Topless women around men means more cat calling, sexual assault and rape. It works in some cultures, but could you imaging topless women walking around in most American inner cities. Nudity laws are going to get more conservative the more our demographics change in this country, or we're going to have some big problems like they do in places like Brazil or now Sweden.
It shouldn't have to be this way, but I shouldn't have to lock the doors on my car either.

its not that acceptable, when i see a guy without a shirt i normally think "put on a shirt" so i'm not as accepting of it as most people might be.
now, if you're at a gay pride parade, its acceptable to be shirtless.....other than that though lol
I never did understand why people are so ashamed of the human body. Look at how everyone freaked out over the wardrobe malfunction during the Super Bowl a few years ago! If men can go topless, IMO women should be able to as well.

When I worked Zuma beach and the 'bu.... we would cite for nudity all the time in a hidden pocket beach... when the woman being cited objected no one was around I would point to the top of the bluffs where men would be masturbating... and yes..we would definitely get them too...

Breasts aren't used directly in sex, their primary purpose is to nourish newborns. Of course they are an object of sexual arousal for men, but women can become equally aroused from a shirtless man with an appealing physical figure.
As if there aren't women who get "excited" when they see a man in good shape with no shirt on.
You seriously underestimate how men can be literally excited by female breasts. The other way around is not as true. If women start walking around in the streets with no shirt, no bras on, men won't even show up to work, young men definitely won't go to class, gamers will put down their consoles and start going out again !
