I don't care how difficult it is. They're the ones who choose to enforce victimless crime (aka hurt people for a living). They're the ones who choose to put people into for-profit prisons and enforce ordinances specifically designed to take money from people (aka kidnapping and robbery).
They're the ones who defend their 'brothers' who kill children, rape women, assault the elderly, handicapped, and injured.
So yeah, I hope it IS a brutal and thankless job. I hope that after a career of ruining lives, they're a shell of the human they used to be.
Fine, if this is what you believe.
But don't paint ALL officers with one broad brush. They are not all the same. Why don't you treat them as individuals?
Assaulting and locking up people for victimless crimes *is* hurting people. And nearly all police do this.
Enforcing ordinances specifically designed to take money from people *is* hurting people. And nearly all police do this.
I do know police officers. I even have a couple in my family. And their life choices are unconscionable.
Did you report them for taking money from people? If you did not, then you are part of the problem, not part of the solution.
I know my friends never took any money from anybody, matter of fact, I don't even know this type of cops exists. (but then again, I am naive and lived a sheltered life according to you)
I am not a know it all, that is why I know that Not every cop is exactly the same.
My friends are all married, have kids, under 32, and contributory members in the society. Do they think bad cops exist? They do. They do their best to serve their communities and they obey their conscience. They deserve to be judged by their behaviors and be treated as individuals.

Police don't create laws.
