No, I'm sure that like any robbers, they hoped to meet no resistance. But by 1947-48, there is no way they could reasonably have expected it. They were already writing of the need to militarily dominate the Arabs in 1924. Don't tell me you've never read Jabotinsky?
Of course I have, just not in the way you are implying. I know he fought against injustices against Jews in Russia. I know he wanted to get Jews out of Poland long before Germany rounded them up and killed them. And I know he wanted to protect Jews from injustices by Arabs for the crime of merely living in their own homeland.
Looks like Israel doesn't have much to worry about after all.
The Israelis aren't worried anyway. They know Iran isn't a threat.
And Pakistan isn't about to attack Iran over Saudi Arabia, let alone wipe them out. They aren't about to nuke anyone. They can't afford to raise the stakes that high.
Quite true--even with US and Soviet support Iraq couldn't prevail.
If there's a nation in that region that's unconquerable, it's Iran. Forget it. It can't be subdued by anyone, let alone Pakistan. They couldn't sustain themselves long enough. Iran is in a much better position to grind it out just by their location alone...let alone their oil resources.

Who the hell would care if they wiped out Iran? It's the only major Shi'a country in the region. Iraq is in turmoil and Azerbaijan is secular and also hates Iran. Besides, it's not trying to invade, according to the statement, but use nukes.
