I think the supporters of this law are confusing cross dressers with transgendered people.

So this law requires someone in transition to male with a full beard and muscular build who identifies as male to use the women's restroom?

That makes no sense to me

Apparently, it does.

Mother Jones thought to ask local police departments how they are going to respond to this new law. The police raised some good points - We Asked Cops How They Plan to Enforce North Carolina

The more I read about this law, the more I'm certain that both the legislature and governor are gonna be doing some serious backtracking. It seems to be a very poorly-written bill, enacted and signed within 10 hours.

Edited to add - ACLU is suing. https://www.aclu.org/sites/default/f..._complaint.pdf

Could lead to a supreme court decision that would most decidedly NOT please the folks who supported the bill.

Ugh... PayPal.

PayPal, does business in 25 nations where homosexuality is illegal including five where the penalty for such behavior is death.

Oh the insanity!!
You have already probably shared a restroom with a transgendered person.

The only way to be absolutely certain that biology matches bathroom choice is to inspect the genitalia of everyone who uses a public restroom. Are you ready to drop your pants or lift your skirt as you enter the bathroom at the mall? How do you feel about your children being challenged as they enter their public school bathrooms?

A stupid law passed to appeal to the reptilian brained RWNJs.

Ya know, this whole thread confuses me...but I'm old and dumb. Things were simpler back in the day.

What will little Johnny think?

It sure does. But the backers have assured us that those people should just break the law, because nobody is really going to check. On the other hand, the law is completely necessary.

The cognitive dissonance is strong.

You seriously seem to think that someone willing to commit the very serious crime of assault will stop at the bathroom entrance, think "Damnation, entering is illegal! My cunning plan, foiled!". It's silly.

I personally don't care if women want to use the men's bathroom that's been peed all over and I would prefer using the cleaner women's toilet myself
Bwahaha! You've never cleaned public toilets, that's pretty darn obvious. I was once young and thought of women as aethereal, poetic creatures of pure grace. Then I took on restroom cleaning duty for free concert tickets. Opened my eyes, it did.

Yup, women's bathrooms are WAY worse than men's.

And how many of these countries do they have offices in?

So we can't control the way people feel AND because it is all but impossible to determine the pervs from the regular trans we shouldn't discriminate?

Is that the general jist?
