If you so regularly do not tip your waitress enough that you have a system, that is classless. That your receipt is not posted on FB doesn't change the first point. The comment instead of a tip doesn't excuse cheap, tacky behavior.

I was joking. Do you have to put a smiley after every sarcastic comment? If I don't tip the reason is poor service and they have usually already heard from me and know why they are not getting a tip.
There will be no lawsuit. No law says receipts cannot leave the premises. Small business owners bring home receipts everyday. There will be no lawsuit.
Hopefully Ada ain't employed.
Do you want your signature and the last four digits of your credit card number and the name of your credit card company posted on Facebook? We were in that town last April and will be in that town next May for a graduation but guess where we will not be eating even if we had wanted to in the first place, which we probably wouldn't. The invasion of privacy for these people is beyond belief. They will have to change their credit card company to make sure their identity is not stolen.
I believe in free speech. You may not like it but they are allowed to say it or write it. And it doesn't even have to be true. But it is against the law to invade a person's privacy.
The manager said they have been banned. They wouldn't have to ban me. I don't even know them but I looked up the place and in sympathy of the bullying his customer is being subjected to, I am banning myself from the place.

They will most likely survive without your business.
Since I am not in the habit of writing racist notes on receipts I would eat there with no worries.

I am not worried. I just don't eat in classless places. This place and the people who work there do not come up to my standards of behavior. I worked with the public for more than 28 years. Some people have class and some don't. When you work there you have to deal with all kinds but in retirement I have choices and I don't choose to be around whinnying crybabies and bullies.
What is really sad is that you don't realize what the grandfather did is worse than whomever it was that put the note on the receipt and we have no proof as to who did that. You people have tried and convicted and sentenced the customer without a trial. I find that particularly disgusting considering the person who did that is said to be a lawyer.

Are those same small business owners allowed to let their employees remove the receipts from their premises? Or publish them on the Internet? I don't think so.
