It just added cost to us who pay for it to supposedly give it free to those who don't.

Seems like the costs of drugs and medicine has skyrocketed since it went into affect.

No, we are not spoiled and the American system is far from being "the best". Far, far from that. Other countries have better healthcare while spending less money. Yes, with much less.
"Fortunes are made out of this system"..........and many of the medical innovations in the world have also come out of this system.

"Other countries have better healthcare while spending less money. Yes with much less."................................ and how many of those countries have been able to afford that re being able to spend less on defense because they can rely on the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines +++ as an ultimate backstop.

And the first problem is not with how many people get healthcare, but how much it basically costs. Even the insurance companies (who have great bargaining power) pay insane sums to providers, drug companies and hospitals. Isn't it insane that a day at the hospital (without major procedures) costs $5000 ? Isn't it insane that a routine surgery costs 150,000? That medications which millions take daily (including many seniors) costs $3000 for 20 pills? What "being spoiled" has to do with these necessities? How can any salary earning family afford these
If someone can't afford all the costs that come with having children, then they shouldn't be having children.

And that healthcare insurance is tied to employment and you lose it when you are out of work??? How can this be "the best"?
For many people yes, but that isn't the law. There is an individual market where the participants are protected from cancelation, as long as the premiums are paid.

Yep. It expanded Medicaid and raised the prices on everyone else. The plans are still high deductible plans yet they are now also high premium. The networks continue to narrow. And if you can't afford to buy the crappy plan then you get to pay a tax penalty. Great plan!
