Police in Ohio responding to a report of an armed robbery shot and killed a 13-year-old boy who they said pulled a gun from his waistband that was later determined to be a BB gun.
It happened Wednesday night in Columbus.
Police said officers were responding to a report of an armed robbery involving multiple suspects. When they arrived on the scene, they said the victim told them that a group of people approached him and demanded money. The victim said that one of them had a gun.
"Officers followed the males to the alley ... and attempted to take them into custody when one suspect pulled a gun from his waistband," police said in a statement early Thursday. "One officer shot and struck the suspect multiple times."
The suspect, later identified as 13-year-old Tyree King, was taken to a children's hospital, where he died.
not a particularly bright move there tyree
prepare for BLM to commence shrieking that it's 'open season on black children'
I'm certain this is going to elevate more racial tension and put the persecution of blacks back in the headlines. If the police are called on to do their job and investigate a robbery, and the suspects pull a gun on them, how is it racially motivated for police to neutralize the threat to themselves and the community? As tragic as this is, I don't care what color you are, as a community shouldn't they be asking themselves why a 13 year is on the streets getting involved with crime?
I don't understand why we allow these "toy" companies to manufacture the damn things to look absoutely identical in every respect to some long manufactured semi-automatic pistol.
Whassup with that? Requiring kiddies to have suitable car seating by federal mandate but letting idiots manufacture a look-alike BB gun in the time honoured tradition of simply seeking profits.?
Hasn't anyone figured out having kids walking around with these darn things out in the open in today's America is just asking for someone to get blown away?
Where's the mental gymnastics come from that would identify an AR-15 as a deadly "assault" weapon that should be restricted from adult possession but leave the stupid toys that look exactly like their deadly counterparts immune from restriction?
I'm not seeing the logic in any of these stupid decisions.
A toy designed specifically to copy a real firearm should be protested off the shelves; where's the public outrage?

And there you have it. Blaming a piece of plastic that looks like a firearm. It's never the parents or the person, it's always the @#$%$ gun.
These "toys" come with a red tip so they are easy to tell as a toy. Unless, of course, you make it look just like a real one. Not your own fault, of course, if you paint it or remove it. We'll just blame the cops and the guns in general.
In this case, IT WAS A REAL GUN. A BB gun is a real gun. Some are strong enough to really mess you up. Go shoot yourself with one and tell us how "real" the wound is.

There should be riots alright........absentee parenthood of these little cretins should be at the top of the list of a HUGE marching crowd.......instead...crickets.
BLM take note; your prejudicial agenda is showing while your selective blaming is obvious in it's overt RACISM!.
You've become that which you profess to despise by allowing those among you to avoid normal societal responsibility in your paroxysm of blaming others for your self created problems..
