Maybe not. He has a better chance to keep other firms from leaving though if he can get his tax plan passed, repeal Obamacare and decrease crippling regulations.

There was a 60 minutes episode aired recently that talked about a huge manufacturing plant in Ohio that closed down due to the company moving elsewhere. It's a fine building. Just needs workers in it.

I'm in central Pennsylvania, and I can give you a TOUR of a number of others. Actually one almost brand new plastics manufacturer closed down this past decade.

Sadly someone ended up tearing down this building to build a parking lot for a Hotel chain (because we need more of those). << sarcasm

So after THOUSANDS of dollars to build this building and renovate it, IT WAS TORN DOWN.

Now COME ON WE CAN DO BETTER THAN THAT!

We need to use the resources we have available. All the building needed was the electricity and gas turned on and people inside it.

All Trump has to do is do some business talking and strike a couple signatures with a pen.

Clearly this is a strength of his and I expect him to deliver on this promise fairly soon, which is desperately needed as people in this area are suffering.

Once this happens, you will see a lightening bolt increase of economic activity in this region. There is no surprise that we are some of those in Pennsylvania that voted HEAVILY or Donald Trump turning the tide of the long-time Democratic state status.

And I am quite proud of that. We had a message to send to congress and to the liberal media.

no I'm talking tesla style automation. which incidentally is what germany is good at. these are highly skilled jobs btw.

i mean, hope against hope, but at least be aware that your dreams have very little chance of happening.

The factories are not coming back. Adapt and evolve. Pick yourself up by your bootstraps.
The factories can come back. If draconian regulations are eliminated, Obamacare repealed, corporate tax rates reduced and overseas money repatriated then manufacturing will come back here. Eliminating shipping costs from overseas will help to make up for the wage differences.

Otherwise, Working force in USA will become more and more incompetitive compared to Mexican Workforce. and even worse if you close your borders to mexican importations, American companies will lose competitiveness to Chinese companies which are geting more and more Share of the Global Market of Manufactures.
It is not just about wages. It is about our corporate tax rates, over regulation that strangles business and Obamacare. Our workers can compete with Mexicans any day on a level playing field.

There's zero chance because the wage gap is too big.

Mexicans and the Mexican government would have to want a "level playing field" too.

It ain't happening. They will work for peanuts.
