I've seen enlistment turn some problem kids around, but it usually doesn't just fix people systematically.
"The economics of such a thing are absolutely ludicrous."

What is it costing us now?

Student loans NOT being paid back. How much does that cost us a year?

Kids unable to get a job. welfare, food stamps, housing etc.

It seems we ALWAYS have money for THESE programs but, CANNOT find the money to STOP the problems BEFORE they happen.

Why didn't you volunteer after you couldn't find a job with your useless English degree?

I served and proud of it. A draft would help produce some young people that don't have a sense of entitlement. Maybe help cure the snowflake mentallity and instill some wholesome and traditional American values before the production of more entitled, snivilling, and complete ignorance toward our constitution and amendment rights.

There are more (by along shot) NON combat jobs in the military then combat jobs.

If any of you want to force other people to do anything, why don't you do it yourself? Go to these kids' homes who you think need to be toughened up and PERSONALLY force them to sign up.

Would you feel justified in doing that, or does it not count if you have the government do it for you?
