I think Trump is sending a very CLEAR MESSAGE. You disrespect this country and partake in anti-american activities, we cannot guarantee your safety. Sounds really good to me.
Times are a changing'....in a much different way than the overrated Bob Zimmerman from the Iron Range sang about.
The times are a changin'....and Joe McCarthy is grinning from his grave.
I'm a die-hard supporter of the 1st amendment and consider flag burning the equivalent of protected speech. But it's highly unlikely that I would ever burn the American flag. But if I did I'd make it known that I'm also a die-hard supporter of the 2nd amendment. Some of you might want to keep that in mind.
Burning or destroying a flag has nothing to do with free speech but with disrespect and destroying or vandalizing items.
I don't think burning a flag in the street is allowed based on some ordinance that may forbid to make a fire in the street or destroying stuff from other people.
If someone does it in their own back yard and the fire department allows that than it is fine with me but when you conduct that behavior in the public road than arrest the person for disturbing the peace or another ordinance or law.
Usually the people doing this are also damaging cars and rioting in the street. Looting and leaving trash in the street is also cause for a fine so let them pay the price.
Anyway it is not a normal person who will conduct this behavior... so a mental institution or special list will be something to consider to add their name too.

I had no desire back in the 60's, or now, to burn a flag, although I did go to demonstrations then. Right now I would like a Trump Pinata (no, not Hispanic), fill it with coal, and beat it with a baseball bat. Should that be illegal too? Hey, that might make a good business opportunity.
BTW, my husband is a lifetime NRA member, and voted for Trump. Should I be afraid?
