By ending the life of a child that the parent finds inconvenient or a punishment, we will never know whether they had an enjoyable life, will we?
Yet how many children in the US are in orphanages or foster care? About 400,000.

mind your own uterus or sperm and I will take care of my own.
Please be intellectually honest. Women who call themselves feminists today have nothing but hatred towards women who do not stop the heartbeat of their unborn child. They HATE pro-life women and they do not support women who believe that life is precious. Please don't lie about it.

Pro-life advocates were shouted down and told they were not allowed to march in the "Women's March" in DC. Why is that? If you value life you are not a woman?

Sorry but pro-abortion is NOT pro-choice unless that choice is to stop a heartbeat.

Not to mention the tens of thousands of children left to die in orphanages. They looked like concentration camp survivors when eventually found, and were permanently damaged physically, mentally, and of course emotionally by this atrocity. Ceausescu had stopped international adoption, because he wanted to build the population of the country - never mind the evil that required. There are videos on YouTube that will break your heart, no matter what your political persuasions...if you have a heart to break.

BTW, abandoned kids with disabilities still, today, frequently suffer similar fates in bleak orphanages and remote mental institutions all over Eastern Europe. Makes me fear for my own species, to know we can be so cruel to innocents like these.

I have nothing but praise and admiration (actually, I also help with fundraising from time to time) for those who adopt children from such places, no matter what their views on abortion. I know many families who are extremely "pro-life" who walk the walk, and who adopt, contribute to children's well-being causes, and advocate for responsible use of birth control. I know other adoptive families who personally would never chose abortion, but who view it as an individual choice. Adoptive parents in both categories advocate for special needs adoption, and better public education about the potential of kids with special needs as well as the fate of such children in the countries of the developing world.

I wish more people on all sides of this issue could find similar common ground.

People's historical memory seem to be hilariously inadequate. How as a society can we so intransigently refuse to learn from our past mistakes?

You are very odd.

I am pro-choice and I support whatever a woman decides to do with a pregnancy. Someone else's pregnancy is none of my business. I consider myself a feminist and know many women who have not aborted. I have two children and have never terminated a pregnancy. Feminism is about supporting and trusting that a woman will make the best decisions for herself and her family no matter what she decides.

On the march and pro-life women, I know pro-life women who went to the march. I also don't hate pro-life women.
