If you think that merely speaking of hell is evil, just wait until you partake of it. Does this offend you?
What many people don't understand about the Gospel of Christ is that it is "Good News." They don't have to face Hell and eternal death. That is the reason God sent his Son to earth, to save us from our sin. And all that is required of us is that we accept Him as our savior. "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12 NIV
1. Believing in God does not necessarily equal believing in Hell. You know that, right?
2. That poster has already made it clear that Jewish people do not have a "hell" in their religion, which a person with a basic education of the most prominent religions would already know, so your questions seems...not nice.
What??? Then you don't believe in God at all. And you certainly don't understand Judaism or Christianity. Why did the Jews make sacrifices? For what purpose?
They made sacrifices to cover their sin. Why? To hopefully find favor with God, and thus save themselves.
Remember, Jesus was a Jew. And he definitely believed in Hell and Satan.
No, Jesus told us to go into all the world and preach the Gospel! That's what HE said. So you're saying we shouldn't? That He wouldn't be pleased?
It isn't a "shallow, hate-filled life" at all. Just the opposite! Knowing Christ is awesome, and gives us joy!
Dude, the gospel is not "Wait till you partake of hell." If that's what you think, you missed the message. If saying THAT brings you joy... yeah, you missed the whole "Love they neighbor" part.
Besides, what is the point of asking a Jewish person the above-bolded other than to be obnoxious? Some of you who claim to be Christians and then attempt to hide your nastiness and hate behind it are embarrassing.

You don't seem to understand Judaism as much as you think you do. If Jesus truly believed in Hell, then he was influenced by predominant Pagan culture he was surrounded by at the time. Hell as a modern Christian construct is rooted in Paganism, not Judaism.

OK, some schmoe on a message board declares that I don't believe in God at all? ROFLMAO. Such authority you have! Aren't you full of your own self-importance! Sashay right on up to sit at the table next to Jesus and see what happens, Mr. Right-hand Man. I don't think I have to worry about what YOU think.
If you want to discuss sacrifices, there is a live thread on it on the Religion and Spirituality forum, where it's on topic.

And Satan was not a personification of evil in Judaism or early Christianity, either. That concept developed later.
"‘On the one hand you report me to the dean for correcting you while you were indoctrinating students with false information. On the other hand a Muslim student in class cracks a joke about chopping someone’s body parts off and you do nothing.’
This is part of the student's email.
Yet it's being called "disrupting" when a student calls out a teacher for "indoctrinating students with false information."
We need more kids like this that are able to call a spade a spade.
We don't need more arrogant kids who think they have all the answers and who try to hi-jack classrooms to showcase their own agenda.
This student calls something "false information", but who is he to judge? He's clearly arrogant, and puffed-up, and has an agenda. He knew beforehand that he was going to "challenge" the content of this course, Middle Eastern Humanities. That was his intention. He intended to disrupt the class, to dominate class discourse, to use that classroom as his own personal mouthpiece for HIS views, and the fact that the course was about views diametrically opposed to his own only served him to play the poor me, I've been victimized routine.
It doesn't offend me, it just makes me feel so sad for you to live such a shallow, hate-filled life.
Jesus wouldn't be too pleased with you speaking for him, either.
Jesus warned of Hell many times. He came to earth to tell us the truth.
