Camille Paglia: Trump Already Headed Towards Reelection, Democrats Have Overplayed Their Hand | Video | RealClearPolitics

Quote:
CAMILLE PAGLIA: I am a Bernie Sanders supporter. I voted for Jill Stein. So I want to make that clear.

My feeling is that an election occured.

It is incumbent upon the defeated party to pull itself together, or else we're going to get the reelection of the present administration. That's what I feel right now.

BRUNI: You feel like he is going to get reelected?

PAGLIA: Yes. The Democrats have overplayed their hand. And the -- I just can't imagine--

BRUNI: You're already betting on his reelection less than 100 days in?

PAGLIA: Yes because what the Democrats needed to do-- and the major media, Frank, needed to do was to do some soul-searching.
If you leftists won't listen to truth here in the forums, at least listen to one of your own. The "resistance" is nothing more than a temper tantrum that won't yield the dividends leftists think it will.

Oh good grief. You are talking about Trump being reelected in 4 years. I pray to god that we are still in existence in 4 years with him as president.

"The resistance" comes across as devisive rebellion that needs put down. Not very productive and certainly immature. This is not WWII France. Playground bullies need to grow up already.

of course he will be reelected. The liberals have no one to run. Tell me what their best candidate would likely be in 2020?

He has been in office for 3 months now and you are already claiming victory in 2020. Hilarious. What in the hell has he accomplished that will get him re-elected? NOTHING! Hillary would have been just as bad but it is silly to say he will win in 4 years. When it is time for him to campaign he will have angered the entire Republican party and they will attempt to find someone else to replace him.

You Trump herders are sure predictable. It is scary how far you will follow him.

I'm a liberal, but you might be right. White nationalism and identity politics are forces too strong to be overcome in the present. There will be more wars and corporate welfare, and the Republican plutocrats will be laughing to the bank as debt is racked up. As long Trump talks big game against Muslims and SJWs, the rural electorate will be fine with pissing their economy and social fabric away.

In 10 years when rural voters see that things have gotten worse for them and not better, they will come to their senses and hopefully vote on pragmatism over identity politics.

Trump is trying to accomplish everything he campaigned on. Unfortunately the libs and establishment Republicans are trying to hinder him in every way

Its never too early to sound alarm bells, which is what Paglia is doing. Thankfully for the the nation, the "resistance" will continue to be tone deaf and will write their own defeat in 2020.
