It certainly will not happen with conservatives in the majority. On the presidential side, I hope that Bernie runs again or Gabbard runs on the platform that he ran. He or she would gladly get my vote.

Well, trump/republicans are doing exactly the same thing - preexisting conditions will be covered and the premiums will be lowered. What happened to that now?

Aetna is the most horrible company there is and I am sick to death of hearing Mark Bertolin's "Obamacare is in a death spiral" quote from a guy who dropped out of ACA an attempt to strong arm the feds into approving his merger with Humana. They screw everyone, from their own employees to the public. If you think your premiums are ever going down -- you are a fool.

Funny, how a company that makes a good chunk of its profits sucking off the government teat administering profitable Medicare and Medicaid programs can pick and choose whether they "want" to participate in ACA. Real healthcare reform would be if you don't participate in ACA you don't get the Medicare/Medicaid programs to administer. It would be a shame if their PROFITS weren't in the BILLIONS every year. They make that money robbing the middle class blind and the GOP is just fine with them doing that.

I know people who work for Aetna who can't afford to have surgery because they have such terrible employee insurance. Funny, how people who work for an insurance company can't afford to get medical care.

Two years ago, old Mark Bertolini was bragging about how much money Aetna was making off of ACA in some markets. They were the smartest guys in the room back then...Glad the Aetna shareholders filed a class action lawsuit this year against Aetna after a Federal Judge said the only reason Aetna dropped out of ACA was to try to get their merger approved. Shareholders don't sue their own company unless there is a valid reason.

If you are waiting for your deductibles and premiums to go down -- don't hold your breath for very long because it's not going to happen. You're still going to pay what you do now with less consumer protections.

If you're older and sick you are a liability to corporate America and the profit machine.

The plan they just pushed through will bring Aetna back, based on what?

Voting on a bill before you even had the CBO report borders on the absurd, obviously the thrust was to just pass anything so they could claim victory. This was minimally better than the bill that was rejected 6 weeks ago, this celebration in the Rose Garden and the beer party will come back to haunt them.

This is like a baseball team running onto the field to celebrate a hit in the first inning, this victory celebration will follow them into the election.

you keep attacking the Dems for Obamacare but you never explain any of it. Grand claims require words to back them up.. Paint a picture.
We are never going to have universal affordable health care until the investment aspect is gone. By it's very nature prices MUST go up. Obama thought the (D)s were in the drivers seat for years. He badly misjudged. The $2500 lie hurt bad.

Do I really have to explain that the (D)'s held big majorities in 2009 and now control nothing?

Same thing and since many saw their premiums go way up, it's doubtful they "loved" it.

Why would you want someone who admits he is a socialist for president?

The ACA was insurance not healthcare, and I saw my premiums and deductibles skyrocket because of it.

I would have preferred to allow it to collapse on its own, but the ACA was a train wreck that made health insurance worse for most people.

It would be nice to know what the premium increases were from the CBO, would that have been too much to ask.

Maybe the Kaiser Foundation is just using scare tactics, thank god for them or wee wouldn't have anything on the ACHA, that didn't stop the GOP from voting. They were on a deadline because they will be on recess next week.
