Its like the kid being upset that the parent says they have to eat their vegetables. I don't want the government to function as my parent, but it seems like a lot of people get upset when that situation is forced.
Dr. Carson is right, you shouldn't give people Mercedes, it's not good for them if it's given to them. Otherwise, where is the incentive to work for something and be a contributing member of society.
lol this is what america has denigrated too: both parties support using tax dollars to build govt houses for poor voters, but argue over the amenities.
Excellent, no longer will the Dems use HUD to move ghetto trash into nice neighborhoods. Multiple generations stay in public housing, it's time to get them up and out so others may use it.
I do think affordable housing should be comfortable so although I disagree with word comfortable being used but I agree with the sentiment. Don't make things so good that "would make somebody want to say: ‘I’ll just stay here. They will take care of me.’”
I consider it to be the height of hubris for a very wealthy person to suggest that living in government housing is too good for the poor. What does he, and the rest of the people that want to punish the poor, want? To have people living in Campgrounds in 8 x 12 campers because they cannot afford anything better? Being poor is punishment enough.
