It's not fancy, but livable..more comfortable than the streets.
Everyone says get a job, like jobs are a dime a dozen. College grads have tough times
snagging jobs.
Suppose they could line up for the ag fields like the migrant workers do..but it's hard to live on that living too. Plus americans don't want to pick lettuce and tomatoes.
Since you didn't bother to capitalize "americans", I will do it for you. Just change it to "I".

One meal a day? So you're advocating malnourishment? The average meal has only 700 calories, eating less than 1,500 calories per day is starvation and deficient of nutrients
Whatever happened to the poor farm? Or the poor house? My dad always said we were putting him in the poor house. That seems like something we should bring back.
Ben Carson doesn't have a clue what he is doing leading the HUD program.

A lot of people here don't seem to care at all, sad.
Exactly, well said. Anyone who thinks the poor, the disabled, veterans, and the poor elderly should be in 'uncomfortable' housing should be made to live there first and see how they feel. Its basic compassion, something that everyone should have been taught by their parents, and its a real shame that there are people on this thread lacking in this.

This is like the thread I created a few weeks ago, where I stated that conservatives think people need to be in squalor to have any "motivation" to work. And the responses here are bearing that out.....
