Actually, you've got the situation bass-ackwards. The protestors were standing outside the embassy gates, as they are permitted to do, when Erdogan's bodyguards rushed out and started kicking them. See, there is still the right to peaceful protest in this country, at least until your dystopian vision of things come to pass.

It's unfortunate that they have diplomatic immunity; however, it still doesn't make their actions against protestors who had every right to be there defensible. Let's face it, you just like to see American citizens threatened and attacked by foreign powers, much as you would like to see the government be blown up.
