Clearly the Attorney General [Loretta Lynch] was giving him talking points -- and he literally adopted them. This admission today is stunning. I would argue that Mr. Comey's notes are the property of the U.S. government and that he has absconded with them."

All RW myth. There is no indication that Lynch interfered in the Comey investigation of Clinton. The suggesting of terminology does not rise to such a level even if the RW wishes it did.

Comey caused the Clinton loss and should have been fired for his original July statement. He is no friend of Clinton.

Memos to self and notes are simply personal memory devices and are personal property unless containing information of some classified type.

It's amazing that people can believe this. Comey did nothing to help Clinton during the campaign. If anything his very public investigation hurt her. So did publicly reopening it right before the election. I believe Trump would have won regardless, but there's a short term memory issue for anyone who thinks he helped her campaign. In fact, when one official attempted to have him avoid using the word "investigation" to soften the appearance of what was happening, he didn't. And that official ended up recusing herself from the investigation because she was too close to the Clinton campaign. But if Comey was anything to Clinton, he was clearly damaging.

I never claimed it was or wasn't.

The POINT is, the president CAN fire ANY Presidential appointee for NO REASON at all.

That's the way it is whether some like it or not.
The issue comes into play in a later post.

Comey was at first said to be fired for the Hillary issue. This was by Trump's press team, surrogates like Kelly Ann Conway and TV supporters. This was fine. Then Trump has to talk about it rather than just leaving it at that and said it was over the Russia investigation. At this point it becomes borderline criminal.

Exactly.

And for what it's worth, Mueller enlisted a top criminal law expert for his probe today. Probably because Trump was so vindicated. My guess is that the IDIOT SNOWFLAKE Comey was so STUPID (in spite of 30 years of legal experience) and said something ILLEGAL during the testimony yesterday. Maybe he's going to ROT in PRISON for LEAKING(!!!!!) his own notes.

And now that he has been, this dog and pony show should end. The Democrats are just using it to slow the work of Congress down so that Trump cannot move his agenda forward.

They said they were going to do this. They are only hurting themselves, because everyone knows this is what the plan is.

Phew, thanks for clarifying. Make sure you reach out to Mueller and tell him he can cancel the criminal law expert he enlisted today.
