The dogs didn't follow the process.

I'll say this over and over again, if you have a dog(s), do NOT get an alarm system.

If your alarm goes off, cops will respond in a heightened sense of caution and, more than likely, with guns drawn. At that point, your dog has a good chance of being shot.

Don't leave guns out if there are kids in the house, and don't have an alarm system if you have dogs.

Is that you John Wick?

I love dogs as much as the next guy, but having been attacked by a Pit Bull, I would equate TWO Pit Bulls to a guy standing in the yard with a shotgun. Maybe he won't shoot at the cops, but the cops don't take that chance. I agree that owners of dogs known to be aggressive shouldn't have alarm systems. Just let the dogs stay inside when you're away, that's plenty of security.

I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt and think you misread what I wrote. If the thing that gets you up in arms about cops being trigger happy is dogs getting killed vs people getting killed, so be it. The end goal of calling out cops for being trigger happy and under trained is what I care about.

If your point is that dogs are being unfairly killed by trigger happy cops, but all those people deserve it... Well I don't think you'll agree with my position about the things you can do to yourself
This.

Does your G-d typically approve of killing living creatures willy nilly?
How do you know this?! Oh that's right, the owner says so.

Edit: Never mind, just saw video, the light colored dog was wagging his tail when he was shot. Glad they survived.

Don't you realize how ridiculous this sounds? How about we ensure we don't live under such an overbearing police state instead and hold departments accountable for their pee-poor training in basic scenarios such as these?

You sound like a psychopath with dreams of having an excuse to murder people.

I have to wonder how much experience many of these officers involved with these shootings have with dogs. If you have dogs or have been around them a lot you have sense of whether they are aggressive or not. I have my own and going to multiple residential homes everyday for a very large part of my life I've had a lot of experience dealing with other people's dogs. Most were tame despite the barking, only a handful you wouldn't see me get out of the truck. Never got bit....
