Before long, the current ain't-it-just-awful kerfluffle will be replaced by the next one. Probably before I finish proofreading this.

You know what will remain?

The image of Boy Scouts booing Obama and cheering Trump.

It's enough to break a den mother's heart.

Did it in 1999 as a leader. Great time. Wonderful adventure.

They had a great time! I got one phone call during their time in New Mexico from the top of Mount Baldy, which is one of few places with cell coverage. They enjoyed everything but the burros, which are notoriously uncooperative. (I think they really did enjoy the burros, but it's tradition to complain about them.) Weather was beautiful. Youngest wants to go back for the extended backpacking trip before he graduates if he can work it out.

my son has a slot for Philmont next year... looks like a great adventure. he is heading off on a local 50 miler in a couple of weeks...

scouting is great for kids. Trump should bugger off and let the kids be kids without his BS infecting the BSA

Exactly.

For a moment, I expected a chorus of "Lock her up."

The video clip gives me the creeps.

But I'd hate to see the BSA and the kids painted as enthusiastic accomplices, for the kids it had to be exciting to have a standing president at their jamboree, it wasn't the message but the moment for them. As far as the BSA leadership, I think they are handling it well by not perpetuating the the controversy further and letting Trump's actions and words speak for themselves.

You'll be the last to wake up and smell the coffee. The vast majority of posts here are critical of your buddy Trump. The other day a poll was held here and 64% of us said that we find Trump an embarrassment as President. That's six months into his term.

Now, before you respond, remember: The idea is to defend Trump. Not to attack HC or liberals. Got it?

Good luck. Most of us are picking up on the fact there is just something wrong or sick about Donald.

LOL! Can't help what the Trump Deranged will do. They also are on the losing side, Bigly.

Go to the elections forum. 10s of 1000s of posts against Trump BEFORE he was elected. Trump proved them all wrong. Now they avoid the elections forum like it was plagued. Some never ever came back.

I said here on this forum in 2015 that Trump would be President. How did you do?

I thought so.
