And one of the most important things that flag stands for, and one of the most important things those military people have lost their lives for, is to protect the notion and right of freedom of speech. It's curious so many conservatives go to such lengths to defend a nation whose most important tenet is freedom of speech ... by telling other people they have no freedom of speech.
It’s not a conservative or liberal issue. Look at Berkeley. Supposedly ground zero for free speech but if you’re conservative, you can’t speak there without a near riot by the liberal students.
The football players should be able to kneel and still keep their job. Conservatives should be able to speak wherever they want.
Both sides are wrong. If you don’t like the conservative don’t go to the speaking engagement. If you don’t like the player, don’t watch the game. But it’s wrong to try to stop the speech or get the players fired (or call them a son of a b****).
The Dotard should realize that half the country can't stand him. The NFL and NBA and MLB are not going to alienate HALF of their market. Both sides are gonna hurt. It is what it is.
I don't think it's anything new. I'm seeing in the PBS Vietnam program the reminders of conservatives who believed in supporting presidential war policies no matter what.

I agree, wasn't anywhere near the same deal. A lot of people here don't have a problem with protests, just doing it on the field just doesn't seem like the right place or time. These guys are basically on the clock working for someone else. The average working man doing a job isn't protesting on the company's dime. That's where I take some umbrage.
So fire all the black players and bring in replacements. I'm sure all the conservatives will continue to watch the NFL.....
Fans should also parallel their beliefs. If what these thugs are doing offends you, stop buying tickets or purchasing the NFL package or buying ads from sponsors. If you support these low life thugs in NFL uniforms, that is your right, also.
