On one of the AM news shows. Has something different come to light?
Okay, just saw that he legally obtained the firearms, but those that he used were illegally modified. So, like I just posted, he became a felon the moment he did that. Are more laws going to help ?
the tools needs , the skills, the materials to produce weapons and ammo... and doing it on a large scale while remaining undetected... just nonsense. instead they would be illegally imported like every other nation. and they would cost an arm and a leg and get you sent to prison for decades thus nobody would want to be caught alive with a rifle...
Guns can be controlled we just lack the will to do it. It is an issue of culture. We must end the glorification of weapons.
Geez, this thread might've dragged the City-Data Political section to a new low. 58 dead, over FIVE HUNDRED injured, and yet nothing but personal attacks and negative energy. From both sides.
Back to the less controversial sub-sections I go.
Actually, other than a few people that had to interject some idiocracy into the thread, I think it has been pretty good so far.
I think it is a little perverse to be saying WHERE you'd like the next mass shooting to be. Personally, I wish that we wouldn't have any more mass shootings. I realize that's unlikely, but I don't want to see anyone else suffer because of a mass shooting.
i am not supporting the tweeter, merely saying it is not psychotic. some here want to paint the left as crazy as spend their days seeking things to attack...
I think most rational folk can see the tweeter is simply upset and venting at what they perceive to be one of the root causes. (ie NRA buying up votes and campaigning endless to loosen our already very weak gun controls)
you referred to "reactions from the left" - and the person you quoted wasn't "the left" just a single individual person who said something stupid. If you didn't mean to smear the left as a whole, your post makes even less sense.
The reality is that you and many others here consistently do this so either own it or stop it.
referring to 'reactions from the left' by no means implicates all leftists. the tweet was one of a series of three nasty reactions by leftists - there will assuredly be many more, which is why i suggested the potential need for a separate thread to collect them.
Most likely it was the benzo he was taking that triggered his behavior.
