There are several benefits to upgrading M4s to M4A1s. Compared to the M4 , the M4A1 has full auto capability, a consistent trigger pull, and a slightly heavier barrel. The heavier barrel is more durable and has greater capacity to maintain accuracy and zero while withstanding the heat produced by high volumes of fire. New and upgraded M4A1s will also receive ambidextrous fire control.
I think authorities will know more once they talk to his girlfriend - I hope. I don't buy it either but if it really is ISIS saying this, like officially ISIS because the Today Show said they didn't yet know whether that report was official, I find it strange they would take responsibility for no reason.
It's not for no reason. ISIS will and does take responsibility for every incident it can, because it makes them see more influential, and because they are perfectly willing to hijack on everyone's fear in order to advance their political agenda.
I can't see it. That type of wording makes it easy to take responsibility for any successful mass shooting in America. Unless we see a trail of him going back and forth to the ME or his computer has all types of propaganda links I doubt it's true.
It's way too easy to take responsibility these days with one tweet
These links are the reason why I say that ISIS would:
OR (a) ISIS claimed responsibility because he was in fact a convert who acted on their behalf (b) ISIS claimed responsibility just to get attention and this guy had nothing to do with Islam
I'm thinking this as well. ISIS is going to claim anything they can to push their agenda. There is more to this guy than just "a crazy white dude snapped" though. It seems like this was just too well thought out to be a spur of the moment lost his mind type of thing.
