Right-wing domestic terrorism is a bigger threat in the US than Islamic terrorism, yet all you care about is the latter. Or perhaps you don't recall a Trump supporting Nazi doing the exact same thing in Charlottesville that this Muslim terrorist did in New York.

You claimed Trump's travel ban would have stopped this. It wouldn't, because his ban didn't include countries where terrorists come from. So then you jumped to, well then we need more bans, which proves your argument that Trump's policies would have been effective wrong.
As for what should be done, step 1: Figure out how they're being radicalized in this country and stop that.
