Well, he was elected. Where is he?
Waiting for the Democrats to accept a reasonable compromise. And waiting. And waiting. For as long as it takes. And waiting for them to quit pulling silly stunts like "offering" a tiny fraction of what Republicans want and then playing their own waiting game, waiting for the Republicans to cave again.

That’s why we know it’s all bs and all the Dems want is open borders.

The Dems are lying as usual. They use cheap, illegal labor also. Trump has e-verify in his 2018 budget and it was the Dems who opposed it the last time it was presented.

In the past, Democrats would ignore what Republicans wanted, craft their own bill that gave Dems everything and Republicans nothing, and ignore Republicans efforts to find a middle ground. Just as Charles Schumer (D-NY) did yesterday with this tiny "offer" for funding only a tiny fraction of the fence. And then Democrats would wait, refusing all counteroffers, and eventually the Republicans would cave. And the government wouldn't get shut down.

Democrats have gotten used to their "wait for the Repubs to cave, they always do" tactic. The only thing that would get them out of that destructive rut, is for the government to shut down AND THE DEMOCRATS TO GET (JUSTLY) BLAMED FOR IT.

And that, for the first time, is what's happening now. President Trump has been on a long campaign to point out the truth about the huge media bias and get normal Americans to realize that what they hear in the news isn't necessarily the whole story, and often not true at all. As a result, the Dems have lost their most valuable ally: A press that will boost them all the way and destroy Republicans.

For the first time, the American people will (justly) blame the Democrats for the shutdown, as they realize it's the Dems making silly "offers" that favor only themselves and give the Republicans nothing. While the Republicans have been offering reasonable compromises and deals that give each side part of what they want. I only hope that Republicans stick to their guns, keep reasonable deals on the table, and wait for the Dems to meet them halfway, for a change.

It will go badly for the Democrats if they don't.

Yes, this government needs a shutdown. One that correctly blames the Democrats for the impasse, and punishes them by their losing seats when normal voters realize they are causing the problems. And the government is getting one.

Trump was right.
Here! Here! In a nutshell!

We don't need a border wall. We just need landmines. After a few illegals blow off a leg or two, the rest will realize it's not such a good idea to cross over illegally. I also think our border patrol should have the right to shoot on site. After all, cops have no problem shooting unarmed black men, why are Hispanics more precious than a Black American?

That's the plan.

The wall does not solve the problem. We need to keep better track of people who overstay their visas. That is the core of the issue. In no other situation would it be logical or sane to look at a huge problem and instead of addressing the core of the problem you decide to spend the majority of your resources on solving a small side issue that contributes to the problem.

Seriously - in no way, shape or form is this logical. The wall just makes you feel better but it doesn't solve the problem.

The good walls in place have already been a huge deterrant to border jumpers and there are still thousands of them crossing annually. Only 76 miles of good walls have been erected but congress approved of 700 miles on the most porous areas of our border and it needs to be completed. Border jumping is no small side issue.

Visa over stayers have to be addressed in a different way and should be. Why do you think we only need to solve that problem but not the border jumper problem?

Here's some links for you.

Yes, you do. And again, and again. As long as there are a few people left who, out of ignorance or outright stupidity, keep believing the Democrats are telling them the truth.

Can anyone confirm that Democrats also want the parents of the dreamers to become legal?
