Trump should have counter offer. If Schumer offered 10 percent for the wall, then Trump should have offered 10 percent of DACAs.

It worked.

As we can see from the plethora of posts on this forum, his base is riled up and no one's talking about the Russian/Trump investigation.
Only people such as yourself and others like you are talking about Russia and Trump, far left supporters. However, no concrete evidence has been found in the dossier or reports/testimonies. The BBC went through the dossier and found many of statements could not be verified. In short, the dossier was a wild goose chase that didn't lead to nothing.

Fusion GPS dossier author 'feared Trump was blackmail target' - BBC News

Foreign news outlets have stopped reporting on Russia and Trump, because there isn't anything concrete that links Trump and Russia. Only left wing American news outlets are reporting on Russia and Trump. Foreign news medias don't have a horse in this race and can't be controlled by the elite in America as easily like American news companies. The rich of foreign countries will no relinquish their influence and power to the rich of America. That makes foreign news outlets very difficult to control.

You can smell BS from both sides when foreign news outlets aren't reporting.

NY State for years has been pushing to pass a law to give illegals a right to vote. Spitzer started it and Coumo continues it. NY receives many refugees and illegals that come here for the benefits. Despite the immigration of these people into the state - more and more people are leaving and due to the migration we have lost 2 house seats and are on pace to lose another congressional seat in 2022 - so NY needs people - immigrants or not.

They do want the parents of "dreamers" to become legal - Obama started the program called DAPA for parents, which was ruled unconstitutional ..... also any obscure relative (the cousin of a cousin) -- this is all part of "The Dream Act", which includes Chain Migration.

Pay attention to what words the Leftists use - DACA Recipients are different from the terms of the Dream Act.

Think of how those poor people are stressing over the fact they may have to leave the only country they remember by this March.
These people are in our military, they are nurses, teachers and policemen. This is a nightmare!
I want to see the proof that Mexico will eventually pay for the wall.
This is true ..... BUT - do "80% of Americans agree" that the entire US Government should be Shut Down for these illegal immigrants?? They do not agree with that, they want a reasonable Immigration LAW, not a Hostage Ransom.

They left on an optimistic note, with Schumer asking Trump to sell it to his folks. Some hours later, John Kelly called Schumer back and said no deal, it was still too liberal.

If this did in fact transpire in this manner... shouldn't both sides have taken it?

Feels like some hardliners basically blocked what would have been a reasonable compromise.
Schumer voted for a law in 2006 to build a southern border wall. It was never built and the wall was never funded. Im pretty sure he is trying to do that again.

Because Trump is the kind of smacked azz who think that when "negotiating," if you give in a little, he can then demand that you give in more. He thinks that people over the years have given in to him because he is a great negotiator, whereas in reality, they just want to be finished with him and his bulling tactics. You can run a business that way and screw over people who are trying to get paid, but you can't run a country that way.

"The Art of the Deal."
"The Art of the Steal" would be a more appropriate title.
