Okay. Some things need to be broken in order to be fixed.

If Schumer actually did put the wall on the table like he said (he might lying) that's a positive sign for what's to come. As a trump voter I could accept a path to citizenship for DACA for the wall and strong restrictions on chain migration.

Would need a guarantee the border wall and fencing would get built before any agreement first. This is the only logical solution to this problem. Get our border sealed tight first and I'll embrace qualified DACA people as fellow Americans and neighbors.

Oh, I’ve also pointed out before how old those links are and posted more current (past year or so) ones showing how little come that way as opposed to back then, how now visa overstays are the big problem, etc. If it’s still the same levels as back then, why not share current links to strengthen your (general) position instead of relying on tired out of date articles?

Isn't that cute!!
Shut down the US Government, no pay for either US Military or US Border Control ..... all to implement Chain Migration, an unvetted Lottery to import aliens, some sort of Amnesty to the Parents and Family of the DACA "dreamers" - AND a $60 BILLION dollar Bailout for Union Pensions.

All of this and they still think that American Citizens are in favor of this "bailout" and Chain Migration.
The Leftists in the USA are beyond out of touch with NORMAL citizens ..... they actually believe this stuff will work and play to their advantage.

Irredeemable Deplorables are not stupid and neither are the majority of those who did not vote for Mr Trump, but like the Economy and more money in their pockets after the Tax Cuts.

Bailing out UNIONS and Chain Migration are NOT the issues that US Citizens care about OR want to support the Schumer Shutdown for. I find it interesting that the Inside the Beltway crowd is supporting this garbage.

Even if the money were sitting in Trumps lap to fully fund the wall and get drones, and guards, and a moat, and sharks with lasers it would still take at least a decade to get the wall built. There is eminent domain suits that can drag out for a decade or longer to start with.

There are over 1000 property owners on the Texas Mexico border alone. If half of those take the government to court that can get tied up for decades like it is still tied up trying to get property for Bushes wall.

Bush started in 2006, and today there are still 90 eminent domain cases tied up in court.

Trump campaigned on Mexico paying for the wall.

Now the USA might end up footing the bill.

Trump is always back peddling. Mexico is NOT paying, Trump is loosing.

I know folks who voted for Trump based on the Wall ,among other things but were impressed that Americans would not be paying for it.

Perhaps writing to Pres. Of Mexico in mass to insist he uphold his end of Trumps promise that Mexico would pay for the wall.

Think of how those poor people are stressing over the fact they may have to leave the only country they remember by this March.
These people are in our military, they are nurses, teachers and policemen. This is a nightmare!
I want to see the proof that Mexico will eventually pay for the wall.
I'll make a deal with you .... DACA recipients can have a path to green card status. No citizenship.

Then there should be no problem with public funds being used for their college expenses. I'm sure all these people will be happy to step up and pay. Ditto any welfare benefits.
