The American people have a right to know if the government is working against them or for them.
Transparency is how they know. Dems want a government that isn't transparent. They want a secret KGB style one rule government with them in power. Keeping the memo secret meets their goals.
For Democrats, the "government" is their industry and they will do anything they can to protect it and make it bigger. Democrats don't want to solve any issues. If you worked for an agency that provides support for the homeless, wouldn't it be against your own self interest to solve it since you would be putting yourself out of a job?
Liberals call themselves "progressives". What that means is they want to "progress" the country into more government control.
The denial and misinformation coming from the Dems is truly shocking.
Either they don't understand what's been actually happening, or they are so indoctrinated with hate-mongering they've become blinded to reality......
And for the Dems here -- sorry CNN/MSNBC hasn't let you in on the fact that the Rs have said repeatedly they will
release the D memo after it goes through the same legal hoops the R memo had to go through.
And FYI - as of yesterday the Ds have refused to show the Rs their memo -- Rs haven't gotten to even read the D memo. -- unlike the Rs who opened their memo immediately to the House Dems.. Maybe that will change today.

After being under observation on and off for 4 years Rosenstein goes before a judge for yet another 90 day extension of the FISA warrant for Carter Page and this is suddenly a problem.
One of the 3 Russian Spies he was connected with back in 2013 went to jail and the other 2 fled the country. The additional warrants occurred beginning in 2015 but now it's political because he was involved in the Trump campaign in 2016.
You would think Carter Page would be in the federal pen, if you listen to you guys. Yet, it is Manafort and Flynn, with indictments for using their 1st amendment, lying to the FBI. According to the Constitutions 1st amendment, lying cannot be a crime.
Oh yeah I'm real scared of a memo prepared by Republican staffers for Devin Nunes. I repeat....Devin...NUNES. lol
Interesting how they wouldn't authorize release of a Democrat-prepared counter memo. Partisan hackery at its finest.
Here's how it will play out:
1. Memo is released
2. Firestorm on conservative websites about the "deep state" and justice department misconduct.
3. Memo is discredited over the days and weeks following its release, myths dispelled regarding it.
4. Right wing conspiracy theorists keep on keepin' on, and will move to the next thing. The damage they wanted in the court of public opinion is done so they're happy.
Funny you should mention "conspiracy theory" as the Mueller Russia-collusion investigation appears unable, even with all those super star investigators, to link the Trump campaign to any Russian state actors that aren't also linked to the Obama DOJ.

That will be a very weak defense. The things that he lied about were against the law. Failure to report income, money laundering all illegal.
Well, Lois Lenner had no problem breaking the law.
Surely, she would have nailed Trump long ago for Tax evasion.
